Day Two: Today we looked at our plans we made for the welding table yesterday and we are sold out the plan that the welding teacher made based on some of our ideas. Then we split up into groups and started to measure and cut the metal we need for each section of the welding table. I am in a group with Joseba and Tucker and we measured and cut out some of the materials we need for the storage space in the middle of the table.

Day Three: Today we prepared and cut more metal for the middle shelf that me Tucker and JefoSaba are making. But before making any cuts we had to put on a face shield and glasses and gloves so that we did not get burned or hurt. We cut four pieces of metal to 11 3/4". We also cut two pieces of metal to 35 inches. Then we cut a 12x35 inch sheet of 1/8 sheet metal. Finally we used an angle grinder to grind down the edges for all of the areas that we would be welding on.
Day six today I continued to learn how to use the Mig welder to put together scrap metal I also refined how I was using the welder such as adjusting heat and wire settings. Here is a picture of my welds today and in this picture you can see that the welds are much more refined and there is a better bead in the weld.

Day seven: Today was the first day that I was actually welding something other than scrap metal I was welding the shelf that me Joe Saba and Tucker are working on for the welding table. As you can see in the picture there is more heat concentrated on the lower piece of sheet metal and for the next time I weld I will try to make the heat more balanced.
